Biographical Sketch of Lucy Cha Yu, Ph.D. （Lucy Cha Yu教授的簡(jiǎn)介：）
        Dr. Yu received her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health, Master of Science in Information Science, and Ph.D. in Gerontology, all from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  She joined Pennsylvania State University at University Park in 1981.  She recently retired as Professor Emeritus of Health Policy and Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.
        Besides being an award winning professor, Dr. Yu has had sustained programs of research in three substantive areas.  Her research interests are in Health status, including functional status (ADL, IADL), psychological stress, and quality of life of older populations.  These researches have been supported by The Kellogg Foundation, National Center for Nursing Research, National Institute on Aging, National Institute on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, National Cancer Institute in the United States.  She also received data collection, staff support from Geriatric Institute of Beijing, People’s Republic of China, for two of her research projects. 
        She has published her research in The Gerontologist, Health Services Research, Medical Care, Journal of American Medical Association, Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology, International Journal of Social Psychiatry, Behavior Health and Aging, The Journal of Gerontological Nursing, Journal of Cross Cultural Gerontology among others.
